School
School has been very important for me. The memory from elementary school to high school is so important that I can not forget them. In my school life, I have good times and also bad times. However, now I really think my school life grew me up strongly. White mentioned, in the book, about school. I agree to one of them, but I do not think all are correct to describe Japanese school. I mention three points about school.
First, in my school life club activity is very important, and I spent almost all after school. I was in track-field club, so I joined every day including Sunday and vacations. Through club activity I could learn a lot of things which I could not learn from classes. Still now circle activity is important for me. I think in the United States students do not spend less time than Japan. Also White says they do not spend less time for doing their home work. So I really wonder and am interested in knowing what they do after school and on long vacation.
Second, in my high school we had to obey a lot of school rules. Foe example, to dye hair and to extend hair is prohibited. Compared to university, I think the school rule is too strict. Because of the school rule, we are frustrated so much. I can agree to that it is necessary for school to keep order, but I think school should think of their rules again.
Third, I want to mention about university entrance. Actually I had university entrance examinations, and I missed one of them. To pass the test is very difficult and it requires a lot of efforts to student. However I do not think this system is bad because we should have such terrible time once a life to grow up.
The school section is very interesting for me. However White mentioned about almost Japan, so I can not understand American school in detail. I want to know much more.

I am sure family is one of the most important things in my life. Maybe
I think almost all people think so both in Japan and in America.
Also, I can understand there are a lot of common things between ideas
of family in Japan and those of in the United States; tending to be alone,
different relationship between parents and friends, and the difference between boys and girls.
White says in this book that boys manage to create the illusion of private space
by using night. I agree with this idea. In my case, I do not like to talk
with my parents and sisters. I think it is very interesting to chat in home.
However, I also need the time to be alone in even my home.
It is, I think, very important and necessary for me to have this time to
consider something; for example, school, friend, and study.
Now I live by myself, separateing from my family. So I can keep my
own time but I can not talk with my family so much. Then I miss them a little,
and I really understand the imprtance of my family.
I also agree with the idea, the relationship between parents and friends
is different. In my cace, I mentioned above, I always talk with my parents,
and talk with my friends. However what I talk is quite different.
I do not why. There is something that I can talk with only my freieds,
and also there is somthing that I can talk with only my parents.
Thus I think these are imprtant.
I think that in general the expectations fromparents are quite different for
boys and girls. In Japan, this is very conservative and typical idea,
boys tend to be raised induldge, white says boys are like king, girls are
considered to do house work, White says girls are like handmines.
In my cace, there is such a big difference between me and my elder sister.
However, I did not do house work, but my sisted did it. So I find that
there is some difference between girl and boy not only in the society
but also in family.

I have a one thing that I can not agree to her. That is "there still exists an intergenerational
taboo on parent-children discussions of sex. this taboo is apparently stronger among
American families than in Japan." Is it true?
I never talked with my parents about sex.
I think it is not good idea to describe Japan correctly.
